Heute schon den Frosch gegessen oder die Axt geschärft?
Bevor es losgeht: Schön das Du da bist und ich hoffe, dass es dir gut geht. Kleine Sneak Preview: Heute wird es sehr business lastig, ein bisschen was zu Betrug und Deepfakes ist auch dabei. Wenn Du also sagst: Nöööö muss nicht sein, voll OK, dann mach’s gut, und genieße den Freitag, das Wochenende und am besten jeden einzelnen Moment, Glück ist was Du draus machst.
Eat the Frog, schon mal gehört? Im Kern bedeutet es: mache die unangenehmen Aufgaben zuerst und vermeide Aufschieberitis oder viel cooler ausgedrückt: Prokrastination. Es ist nicht immer einfach aber es lohnt sich. Ähnlich dem Bild der stumpfen Axt: Ich habe keine Zeit meine Axt zu schärfen ich muss Bäume fällen…. OK, würdest Du dir Zeit zum Schärfen nehmen ginge es schneller. Das bringt mich unweigerlich zu dem Punkt Trainingsplan ja oder nein, ganz klar ja, wie komm ich darauf? Achja, endlich haben die Gyms hier wieder geöffnet und an dieser Stelle gilt mein Respekt an all diejenigen die permanent im Training waren und etwas für ihre Gesundheit getan haben. Laufen, Wandern, Wasserflaschen stemmen… Was auch immer: Hut ab. Natürlich auch an all diejenigen die jetzt wieder anfangen und erkannt haben, dass es sich lohnt in die eigene Gesundheit zu investieren. Was ich nicht mag: Hippster die mehr Zeit mit dem Handy vorm Spiegel unter anabolem Licht verbringen als die verdammte Hantel anzupacken und Gas zugeben. Wenn Mr. TommyHilfigerInstaSternchen noch einmal „meine“ Bank blockiert klatscht es, aber keinen Beifall… 😊
So nun aber wie angekündigt:
Kennst Du OLAF?
OLAF das europäische Amt für Betrugsbekämpfung, soll sich eigentlich um die Betrugs-Problematik kümmern, es leitet Verdachtsfälle an nationale Behörden, leider wird diesen nicht nachgegangen, also „stumpfes Schwert“. Das Problem: mangelnde Personaldichte und das Amt leitet selbst keine staatsanwaltschaftlichen Ermittlungen ein.
Da kommt jetzt Laura Kövesi ins Spiel als Ermittlerin der Europäischen Staatsanwaltschaft die ab Juni ihre Arbeit aufnimmt. Ist das nötig? Nunja bei 500 Millionen Euro Haushaltsmittel die durch Betrug einfach so verschwinden, ist das wohl ne Maßnahme die nicht unbegründet ist. Achja und die 500 Millionen sind nur eine vorsichtige Schätzung. Also Betrug und Korruption nicht nur in den BRIC Staaten ein Thema…. Ok ok wundert es uns jetzt wirklich?
Apropos Betrug und Fake: warum die Digitalisierung auch ein Fluch sein kann, bzw. die immer rasantere und bessere technische Entwicklung: Deepfakes. Was das ist? Mit der Deepfake Technologie ist es möglich Videos zu kreieren die täuschend echt aussehen. Es ist somit möglich Personen des öffentlichen Lebens so nachzuahmen, dass Du keinen Unterschied erkennst. Also können wir weder dem was wir sehen noch hören vertrauen. Ein Hoch auf die KI. Das Problem wird ein enormes Misstrauen sein… Die andere Seite: Synthetische Medien bieten enormes Potenzial für Bereiche wie Medizin, Bildung und natürlich auch Unterhaltung. Ich hoffe, dass das „oben“ ankommt und die Digitalisierung sich auf Detection Software fokussiert oder wenigstens nicht aus den Augen verliert. Es geht ebenfalls kein Weg an einer Zusammenarbeit von Facebook, Google und Co. Vorbei.
Abschließend noch ein kleiner Hinweis an alle die sich derzeit in einem Transformationsprozess von einer GmbH in eine AG befinden, achtet auf ein ordentliches IKS und RMS ich sag nur FISG

Before we start: Glad you're here and I hope you're well. A little sneak preview: Today it's going to be very business-heavy, with a bit about fraud and deepfakes. So if you say: Noooo doesn't have to be, totally OK, then take care and enjoy Friday, the weekend and best of all every single moment, happiness is what you make of it.
Eat the Frog, ever heard of it? In essence, it means: do the unpleasant tasks first and avoid procrastination. It's not always easy but it's worth it. Similar to the image of the blunt axe: I don't have time to sharpen my axe I have to cut down trees.... OK, if you took the time to sharpen it, it would go faster. This inevitably brings me to the point of training plan yes or no, clearly yes, what makes me think so? Oh well, finally the gyms have opened again here and at this point my respect goes to all those who have been in training permanently and have done something for their health. Running, hiking, lifting water bottles... Whatever: MUCH RESPECT. And of course to all those who are now starting again and have realised that it's worth investing in their own health. What I don't like: hippsters who spend more time with their mobile phones in front of the mirror under so called „anabolic lights“ than picking up the damn barbell and lift that shit. If Mr. TommyHilfigerInstaStar blocks "my" bench one more time there will be clapping, but no applause... 😊
So now as announced:
Do you know OLAF?
OLAF, the European Anti-Fraud Office, is actually supposed to take care of the fraud problem, it forwards suspicious cases to national authorities, unfortunately they are not followed up, so it's a "blunt sword". The problem: a lack of staff and the office itself does not initiate prosecutorial investigations.
This is where Laura Kövesi comes in as an investigator for the European Public Prosecutor's Office, which will start work in June. Is that necessary? Well, with 500 million euros of budgetary funds disappearing through fraud, this is probably a measure that is not unjustified. Oh, and the 500 million are only a conservative estimate. So fraud and corruption are not only a topic in the BRIC countries.... Ok, ok, are we really surprised now?
Speaking of fraud and fake: why digitalisation can also be a curse, or the ever faster and better technical development: deepfakes. What are they? With deepfake technology, it is possible to create videos that look deceptively real. It is possible to imitate people in public life in such a way that you can't tell the difference. So we can't trust what we see or hear. Hooray for AI. The problem will be enormous mistrust... The other side: Synthetic media offer enormous potential for areas like medicine, education and of course entertainment. I hope that this reaches the "top" and that digitalisation focuses on detection software, or at least does not lose sight of it. There is also no way around a cooperation between Facebook, Google and Co.
