Es ist wieder soweit, mein Blog… aber auch: Davos.

Da was?

(Achtung: für die meisten fängt der interessante Teil in der Mitte des Blogs an)

Seit mittlerweile 50 Jahren treffen sich einmal im Jahr mächtige Politiker, Konzern-Bosse, führende Wirtschaftsexperten, Wissenschaftler, Journalisten und tonangebende Gesellschaftsaktivisten in dem 11.000 Einwohner Ort Davos in den Schweizer Alpen.

Vom Symposium für Managementfragen hat sich das Weltwirtschaftsforum mittlerweile zu einem Gipfeltreffen entwickelt, bei dem zahlreiche global relevante wirtschaftliche, soziale, gesellschaftliche und politische Fragen diskutiert werden.

In den letzten Jahren rückte der Klimawandel in den Fokus….. (Fake News ;) ) und auch Greenpeace macht sich die Veranstaltung zu Nutzen. Die Umweltorganisation schickt regelmäßig hochrangige Vertreter nach Davos, um Staatsführer und hochrangige Konzernvertreter mit ihrer Verantwortung gegenüber der Umwelt zu konfrontieren.

Auf der anderen Seite begeben sich Jahr für Jahr Hunderte Wirtschaftstreibende nach Davos, um ihre Geschäfte voranzutreiben. Dabei steht vor allem der eigene Umsatz im Fokus. Ein nicht unerheblicher Konflikt, aber worauf will ich eigentlich hinaus?

Wir sollten uns generell etwas mehr auf Nachhaltigkeit konzentrieren, doch was versteht man darunter? Laut Wikipedia bedeutet es das Folgende:

„Nachhaltigkeit ist ein Handlungsprinzip zur Ressourcen-Nutzung, bei dem eine dauerhafte Bedürfnisbefriedigung durch die Bewahrung der natürlichen Regenerationsfähigkeit der beteiligten Systeme (vor allem von Lebewesen und Ökosystemen) gewährleistet werden soll.“

Ah ja, Danke….

Versuchen wir es mal mit Zukunftsfähigkeit und Gleichgewichtserhaltung. Investments in Indien? Möglich. Indien ist der am schnellsten wachsende Solarmarkt der Welt. Kein Scherz. Allerdings sind die Probleme der Energiespeicherbarkeit auch dort noch nicht gelöst. In meinen Augen werden dort an vielen Stellen die richtigen Entscheidungen getroffen und es ist transparenter als z.b. China.

Klar China = Wachstumsmarkt, aber es darf auch gern ein bisschen gestreut und transparenter sein. Und jetzt kommt mir nicht mit Korruption oder sonst was…. (auch wenn dies vor Ort ein Thema ist…) Aber werft mal einen Blick auf den CPI (Korruptionswahrnehmungsindex) und schaut wo Deutschland steht… ok, wir sind nicht in der Nähe von Syrien oder Somalia, aber wir sind auch nicht in den Top10…

Was ich damit sagen will, hinterfragt mal das ein oder andere, öffnet eure Augen und geht nachhaltig mit der wichtigsten Ressource um die wir haben… uns. Ja auch wir sind ein wunderbares Ökosystem und kaum ein System arbeitet so ökonomisch wie der menschliche Körper. Betrachtet ihn als Tempel und pflegt diesen.

Treibt Sport in gesundem Maße, ernährt euch ausgewogen und tut auch mal was für Eure Seele.

It is time again, yes my blog, but also: Davos.

Da…. what?

For 50 years now, powerful politicians, corporate bosses, leading economic experts, scientists, journalists and leading social activists have been meeting once a year in the 11,000 inhabitant town of Davos in the Swiss Alps.

From a symposium for management issues, the World Economic Forum has now developed into a summit meeting at which numerous globally relevant economic, social and political issues are discussed.

In recent years, the focus has shifted to climate change . (Fake News ;) ) and Greenpeace is also taking advantage of the event. The environmental organisation regularly sends high-ranking representatives to Davos to confront state leaders and high-ranking corporate representatives with their responsibility towards the environment.

On the other hand, hundreds of business people come to Davos every year to promote their business. The major focus here is on their own sales. A not irrelevant conflict, but what am I actually getting at?

We should generally focus a little more on sustainability in general, but what does that mean? According to Wikipedia it means the following:

“Sustainability is a principle of action for the use of resources, in which the long-term satisfaction of needs is to be guaranteed by preserving the natural regeneration capacity of the systems involved (especially of living organisms and ecosystems). “

Ehhhh ok…. thank you.

Let's try with focus on future and balanced maintenance. Investments in India? Possibly. India is the fastest growing solar market in the world. No kidding. However, even there, the problems of energy storage are not yet solved. In my opinion, the right decisions are being made in many places and it is more transparent than China, for example.

Clearly China = growth market, but a bit more diversified and transparent. Now do not come to me with corruption or anything else... (Even if this is a local issue...) But take a look at the CPI (Corruption Perception Index) and see where Germany stands... ok we are not close to Syria or Somalia, but we are also not in the Top10... What I want to say is, question one or the other, open your eyes and go sustainable with the most important resource we have... us.

Yes, we are a wonderful ecosystem and hardly any other system works as economically as the human body. Think of it as a temple and maintain it.

Do sports in a healthy way, eat a balanced diet and do something for your soul.
